Cellars, crypts, and catacombs, OH MY!

Our "Three C's" tour date followed by lunch is set for February 13th and will be strictly limited to 25 attendees, no children.

The tour will last about two hours, taking us from the castle (Esslinger Burg) to Esslingen’s ossuary under the city archive, then through some excavations and other locations.

The tour will meet and begin at the "Dicker Turm", a hidden water cistern at the Esslingen Castle (Burg) followed by a short walk back into the town where we will see an underground medieval cellar. Next, we will visit the Crypt followed by the Bone House (Ossuary). The tour will end near the Marktplatz, where we will have lunch.

Part of the tour will be in underground Esslingen and each of the 4 sites can only be visited with a qualified guide and a key.

This tour is not recommended if you are claustrophobic and/or cannot climb stairs.
