Stuttgart Community Spouses’ Club (SCSC) Scholarships

The Stuttgart Community Spouses’ Club (SCSC) scholarships are made possible through proceeds from the Patch Thrift Shop. These awards reflect the hard work and generosity of our club and community volunteers, who dedicate hundreds of hours each year to make this program possible.

The SCSC Scholarship Committee oversees the review process, ensuring transparency and fairness throughout.

Selection Process
An independent Scholarship Selection Panel is utilized only for the Essay portion of the Application process.

This panel is composed of volunteer military and civilian members of the Stuttgart community who are screened for conflicts of interest. Their dependents are ineligible to apply, and applicant identities remain anonymous throughout scoring.

Applications for all other scholarship categories are reviewed by the SCSC Scholarship Committee, following the same evaluation standards and confidentiality guidelines.

The Scholarship Committee determines both the number of scholarships and the monetary value of each award based on available funds. Submission of an application does not guarantee an award.

Eligibility Requirements for All Applicants
1. The applicant must be a dependent whose sponsor is either:
  – Living and working within the USAG Stuttgart Military Community, or
  – Assigned to a USAG Stuttgart military unit but serving at a remote duty location.
2. Both the applicant and sponsor must possess valid Department of Defense (DoD) ID cards.

3. The Scholarship Committee makes all final eligibility determinations.
