The first Day Trip of the season: Schloss Ludwigsburg during the annual Pumpkin Fest!

We will begin our visit with a "Duchess" tour of the Schloss. Schloss Ludwigsburg is one of Europe’s largest original Baroque complexes. The lavish architecture, with arches and columns, frescoes and chandeliers, reflects the power and wealth of the dukes and kings, for whom this was home

After our tour, we will visit the annual Pumpkin Fest, held on the palace grounds. Every year, Schloss Ludwigsburg hosts the world's largest pumpkin exhibition. The exhibitions and themes change every year. This year, the theme is "Powerful Women". This portion will be at your own pace.

    Comfortable shoes are a must!

    What to Expect

During your volunteer orientation, you'll learn about:

    • Shop Operations: A brief overview of how the shop is run, including store layout, customer service tips, and how to handle transactions at the register.

    • Volunteer Roles: Discover the different roles available, from sorting donations to assisting customers, merchandising, and working the checkout counter.

    • Safety Procedures: Learn about our safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for all volunteers and customers.

    • Code of Conduct: We expect all volunteers to adhere to our code of conduct, which includes treating everyone with respect, maintaining confidentiality, and following the shop's policies and procedures.
