Volunteering is one of the easiest ways to find your people and your place here. As you volunteer, not only will you make a difference, but you will also find yourself making friends, building new skills, and bringing joy to yourself and others.
Volunteers also earn perks like thrift store credit, early shopping opportunities, and are invited to an annual volunteer appreciation dinner.
Patch Thrift Shop Volunteers
As a Patch Thrift Shop volunteer, you help turn donations into grants and scholarships for the USAG Stuttgart Community. Volunteers help keep the store organized, hang clothes, sort donations, and more!
Want to Volunteer?
- Attend 45 minute Volunteer Orientation. No Registration required. (see schedule below).
- Show up for a shift while the Thrift Shop is open. See store hours here.
OR
- Attend 45 minute Volunteer Orientation (preferred, not required).
- Attend a Sip & Sort event.
It is that simple! Just an hour or two makes a world of difference for our community!

- Come to an orientation. Show up at the Patch Thrift Shop on any date and time listed above. It takes less than an hour.
- Then volunteer whenever you like. After orientation you can help at the Patch Thrift Shop during any open hours. No need to sign up or register for a time slot.
- Stay as long as you like! Give 2+ hours and enjoy the volunteer perks.
Teens: please bring a parent with you to orientation.
